The driveline, based on Volvo’s 9-litre diesel engine, is powerful, reliable and highly efficient. 380 bhp and 1740 Nm of torque give smooth handling and sufficient power for any traffic situation. The 12-speed Volvo I-Shift automated gearbox helps optimise performance and fuel consumption. This powerful drivetrain has all the traditional Volvo hallmarks of driveability, fuel efficiency and productivity.
Cleaner with SCR
The Euro 5 engine features SCR, Selective Catalytic Reduction, in order to reduce NOx emissions. SCR is an exhaust after-treatment process whereby an additive is injected into the exhaust flow prior to the catalytic converter.
Brakes
Powerful EBS-controlled disc brakes with floating callipers are well-known Volvo safety components. The gearbox can be combined with a retarder, substantially reducing brake wear. For top-of-the-line safety you can opt for our Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Front suspension
The well-proven rigid front suspension offers excellent comfort and handling as well as a tight turning circle.
