Driveline
The driveline with Volvo D9B is available with 360 hp and offers high torque across a broad rev range. In practice this means immediate response to the throttle, fuel-optimised acceleration and excellent low-rev pulling power.
Low fuel consumption is not just a matter of engine characteristics, it also requires a well-matched driveline. The engine is available with the very latest generation of automatic transmissions featuring a choice of 4 or 6 gears and an integrated retarder. The rear axle is of drop-centre type and is available with a wide selection of ratios.
Brakes
The Volvo B9L family is equipped with Volvo’s electronically controlled EBS braking system, which offers a range of safety and comfort-enhancing features. The electronic system permits a very short stopping distance and the brake discs are of a particularly temperature-resistant design.
Front suspension
The Volvo B9L features conventional lightweight front suspension, designed for minimal tyre wear. All-round air suspension is standard, available with kneeling function.
