Volvo Buses - Driving the Change

"Volvo Buses - Driving the Change
On 20th October, 2001, when Volvo introduced its first bus in India, the Indian operations found a permanent place within the Volvo Bus' extensive global network.

The first bus to be introduced with a true bus chassis in India, the Volvo 9400 is now a symbol of global quality and design on Indian roads, as well as high vehicle performance and drive comfort. The Volvo name is today a 'ticket brand' in the country, touching the lives of demanding passengers accross the country.
Over the last decade, Volvo has consistently strived to bring in a change to improve the lives of all. After the first wave of change in 2001, when the B7R was launched, came the second in 2006 when we introduced the City Bus. Not content with this, we launched in the 9400 multi-axle coach in 2008 - the third wave. This revolutionised the bus industry in India and defying notions that discouraged such a move.

But all through this journey, we have never compromised on Safety, Comfort, Quality - traits that define the Volvo Brand. The Volvo 9400 Intercity coaches and 8400 City bus are built on body designs that significantly raises the standards in safety."
