Volvo Buses has received a new major hybrid bus order in Norway. Nobina has purchased 91 Volvo buses, of which 32 hybrid buses, for operations in Tromsö in northern Norway.
Volvo Buses has received its largest hybrid bus order to date. The city of Curitiba in Brazil has ordered 60 buses that generate up to 35% less fuel consumption.
Volvo Buses has secured an order for 328 articulated buses for New York City through its subsidiary Nova Bus. The order is valued at USD 231 M.
Volvo Buses has received an order for 61 coaches for Greyhound Lines. It is Volvos subsidiary Prevost that will deliver the 61 X3-45 coaches during 2011.

Volvo Buses and Chinese SAIC Motors have agreed to form a new joint venture company. It is a company for driveline systems for new energy buses such as hybrids and electric buses. The new company will be owned by SAIC with 60% and by Volvo with 40%.

Volvo Buses has received an order for 180 buses for public transport in New York City via its subsidiaries Prevost and Nova Bus. The customer wants to test how the buses cope with the demands of the New York City traffic.
