Volvo Buses - Driving the Change

On 20th October, 2001, when Volvo introduced its first bus in India, the Indian operations found a permanent place within the Volvo Bus' extensive global network.

The first bus to be introduced with a true bus chassis in India, the Volvo 9400 is now a symbol of global quality and design on Indian roads, as well as high vehicle performance and drive comfort. The Volvo name is today a 'ticket brand' in the country, touching the lives of demanding passengers accross the country.

The list of features that leads to greater safety, comfort and efficient transport in a Volvo is long. Some of these features include optimal power-to-weight ratio(290 hp engine) excellent drive characteristics and driver enviornment, short turning radius, air suspension, power steering, integral air-conditioning among others. The Volvo 9400 Intercity bus and 8400 City bus are built on body designs that significantly raises the standards in safety.
