Sean Copeland has assumed the role of General Manager at Volvo Bus Australia on the 6th of May, 2013. New to the bus industry, Sean brings with him a fresh outlook and a wealth of management experience in a variety of different industries, including asset management and capital equipment.

To further develop the skills of young talent in its aftersales support, Volvo Buses kicked off its global key technician program first time ever within its Australia-wide dealer network. The program aims to train technicians in product knowlege, servicing procedures, technical diagnostics and customer service skills.

Australia’s first Volvo hybrid bus has now hit the road and is running in Perth’s free inner city Central Area Transit (CAT) service. Early results of the Volvo B5RHLE 12-month trial run by Perth’s public transport operator, Transperth, are showing a positive trend.
