Volvo Buses Asia Pacific recently held a momentous 3-day Quality and Technical Conference (QTC) from July 10th to July 12th, 2023. This conference marked a significant milestone as it had been three years since the last QTC before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The QTC was an excellent opportunity for service market managers within the Volvo Buses network to come together, share knowledge, and strategize for the future. Technical representatives from Volvo Buses' Head Office in Sweden were invited to provide invaluable insights and updates on the latest developments in the industry. The collaboration with these allowed participants to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and industry trends, especially with strong focus on the continual transition into Electromobility.

The Conference also welcomed technical managers from ZF Asia Pacific, a valued partner of Volvo Buses. The interactive session provided a platform for both Volvo and ZF representatives to exchange market experiences, understand customer needs, and explore avenues for better customer support within the region. This exchange of ideas emphasized the commitment of both companies to improve customer satisfaction and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Adding an enriching dimension to the conference, attendees were taken on a tour of Volvo Buses' authorized CKD assembly factory at Truckquip Sdn. Bhd. This visit allowed participants to witness first-hand the meticulous process of bus assembly and the stringent quality standards adhered to by Volvo Buses.

During the conference, each market's technical manager had the opportunity to present the challenges they are currently facing and exchange ideas on how to provide enhanced support to customers, ultimately driving customer satisfaction to new heights. The open and collaborative atmosphere facilitated an efficient exchange of best practices and innovative solutions to tackle common challenges faced in the dynamic APAC region.

Shaun Tofts, Director of Quality, Technical Support, and Competence Development at Volvo Buses Asia Pacific, expressed his enthusiasm about the success of the QTC and its significance for the region:

"Bringing together technical specialists and professionals from both sides of the globe and all markets within the APAC region has been a truly rewarding experience. The conference provided us with a platform to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and build stronger networks to support our customers more effectively. As we move forward into 2024, we are confident that the shared insights and strategic directions established during this conference will drive our efforts to deliver swift technical solutions giving greater value to our customers and stakeholders."

The QTC was a resounding success, reiterating Volvo Buses' commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity. As the company looks ahead to 2024, the knowledge gained and relationships forged during this conference will undoubtedly serve as a strong foundation for growth, further solidifying Volvo Buses' position as a leading player in the Asia Pacific region's bus transportation industry.
