In September 2021, the total 29 B8RLE buses were delivered to KD. Manufactured in Boras, Sweden, the Volvo B8RLE is a low entry, 3-axle chassis, equipped with Volvo’s world-leading fuel efficient 8-litre Euro 6 engine. Up to 350hp, the well-balanced chassis also comes with enhanced safety such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Braking System, air suspension and Volvo’s Driver Support System package, designed to provide a safe and comfortable journey to both the driver and the passengers.In addition, they are also equipped with Volvo Telematics and I-coaching to help KD optimize their fleet performance.
These newly delivered 13-meter-long, 4-meter-high Double Deck buses are bodied by Daji Motors Enterprises Co., (Daji), the leading Volvo bus body builder in Taiwan. This is not the first time that KD partnered with Daji – Volvo authorized body builder in Asia. KD also operates B8RLE in the Gyeonggae province that are also bodied by Daji. Each seat on the newly acquired buses is installed with USB charging port, and the stop button can be easily accessed from every seat. The refined Volvo chassis paired with Daji’s body insulation provides a smoother and more pleasant ride to the passenger.
