With over six years of experience with Volvo Group truck and bus products, Mike brings high level technical expertise into the Volvo Bus service team.

“My new role as the Regional Service Manager for Northern region Australia is to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained for all Volvo Buses customers through technical support in service matters,” said Mike.

Mike joins the bus team from his previous role as Product Certification & Test Engineer for Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses and Mack Trucks. His main responsibilities included coordinating and leading the execution of test and certification activities to ensure all vehicles marketed by Volvo Group Australia (VGA) were in compliance with the applicable Australian Design Rules.

Prior to joining VGA in 2007, Mike was working in Powertrain at Ford Motor Company and Lotus Engineering in the UK.

“I have been involved with the automotive industry since the start of my career. The valuable technical skills I have gained in passenger car and heavy vehicle engineering can be directly applied to Volvo Buses products.

“Over the years my previous role within VGA allowed me to work closely with the Volvo Buses technical team providing objective performance data for tender processes.”

Originally from the UK, Mike and his family have settled in Australia’s sunshine state almost ten years ago.

In his role, Mike hopes to build a strong network of customer relationship within the Northern region.

“In order to achieve customer satisfaction you need to understand their needs, requirements and expectations – every customer has individual needs therefore it is important to build that close and individual relationship.”
