Ralph Acs appointed Head of Volvo Buses American operations

Ralph Acs has been appointed Senior Vice President Business Region Americas at Volvo Bus Corporation.

Ralph Acs, born 1964, has worked in the transportation and aerospace industries for 27 years, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Bombardier-Learjet in the United States. Ralph Acs has held numerous high positions within the Bombardier Group and has extensive experience within business development, operations and sales & aftermarket.

Americas is Volvo Buses’ largest sales region. In North America, the company operates mainly through the brands Nova and Prevost, active in the coach, transit and commuter markets.  Mexico is an important coach market for Volvo Buses, the company has a production facility in Tultitlán.

Volvo Buses has been present in Latin America since the 1970’s and has a production facility in Curitiba, Brazil. Colombia is currently the second largest market for Volvo 7900 Hybrids, with more than 400 vehicles sold to operators in Bogotà. Volvo Buses is the market leader of BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) solutions in Latin America and have delivered buses to BRT systems in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.
