The operator has a 29 strong vehicle fleet with 26 being Volvo and the seven new coaches are destined for use on private and corporate hire and school contracts.
Peter Rice, Joint Managing Director for Southgate & Finchley Coaches, said: “We first saw the MCV eVoTor at the Euro Bus Expo in late 2018 and placed an order for three there and then. We’ve been so pleased with the operational performance of the B11R chassis and the look and quality of the eVoTor bodywork, we purchased a further four of the same specification to add to our fleet.
“As much of our work takes place within the M25, it was important to have coaches with a Euro VI engine so that we wouldn’t have any issues when entering the London low emission zone. We believe it is a great coach that is very competitively priced and will meet the needs of our passengers and our business very well.
“Our local Volvo Truck and Bus Centre in Enfield takes care of all our aftermarket requirements and have always given us great service, which is another of the reasons we go with Volvo time and time again.”
