Specified with Volvo’s D7E 7 litre engine which combines fuel injection with common rail technology, coupled to a ZF six speed automatic gearbox, the new coach features full climate control and DVD player. It can be configured to accommodate 49 seated passengers plus one wheelchair, or 45 seated with two wheelchair users.
“Our last B7R Sunsundegui, purchased two years ago, is never off the road,” explained Managing Director, John Cropley. “There are not many coach operators in our region who can offer the wheelchair lift facility and we feel that the volume of work warrants an additional vehicle.”
The new coach will be used for private hire work throughout the UK and Europe. Cropley’s 12-strong fleet of large vehicles is 100% Volvo, with seven of those being Sunsundegui bodied.
“We just feel that the Volvo/Sunsundegui combination is a proven one,” continued John. “Not only does it represent excellent value, it looks great, it’s reliable and the Volvo back-up is first class.
“We’ve been so pleased with the all-round response to the last B7R and we’re now in a position to guarantee we meet all demands and begin to expand this service.”
Founded in 1920, family run Cropley Coaches undertake a range of services including scheduled tours & excursions, local works & schools contracts, corporate travel contracts and private coach hire throughout UK & Europe.
