Free Winter Check-Up Programme underlines commitment to Volvo operators

Volvo Bus will also be using this week’s Coach & Bus Live show (Stand A3, Hall 18 NEC Birmingham 7th-8th October) to highlight, amongst other things, its free Winter Check-Up Programme, which is now available to all owners of Volvo coaches.

Available at participating Volvo dealers and subject to availability, Volvo’s Free 10 Point Winter Check-Up covers a number of key areas including a rolling road brake efficienct check, a full mid-tronics and coolant test as well as air tank drain down and condenser drain value check.

Undertaken by fully trained Volvo technicians with access to the latest diagnostic equipment, the Winter Check-Up Programme gives Volvo operators added peace of mind and assurance that their coaches are in the best possible shape to cope with potential cold temperatures and adverse conditions which can accompany the winter months.

In addition to the Free Winter Check-Up Programme, Volvo Bus will be also be showcasing the many other facets of its Customer Services at Coach & Bus Live. These include its extensive dealer network, its Genuine Volvo Parts programme and Volvo Action Service, a “24/7” European-wide emergency breakdown service.

Not also forgetting Volvo Frontline – Volvo’s national mobile support service for bus and coach operators, delivering anything from routine maintenance, warranty work and technical issue resolution at a customer’s own premises.

Speaking at the Show, Volvo Bus Customer Services Director Andy Kunze said, “The Free Winter Check-Up Programme is just one example of how Volvo Bus is commited to supporting operators in what, for many, are tough times. We hope to see many bus and coach operators at the show and highlight the wide range of Customer Services that we can offer to help them keep whole life operating costs as low as possible, whilst maintaining optimum uptime.”

A special liveried Volvo 9700 coach promoting the Winter Check Up Programme takes pride of place on the Volvo stand, alongside an example of the latest Volvo B9TL Eclipse Gemini 2 Double Deck bus, due to enter service with First London.

A Volvo 9700 coach will also feature in the ever popular Skills Test, where visitors can test their driving skills on a specially designed course immediately outside Hall 18.
