This latest coach, built to exactly the same specification as their previous vehicle, ensures that six out of seven coaches in the Bayliss Executive Travel fleet are now built on the Volvo chassis. “We were delighted with both the reliability and performance of the B9R Sunsundegui we purchased at the end of last year,” explained company owner, Alistair Bayliss.

“Taking that into consideration and looking at our company requirements, it made complete sense to order a second B9R. The tremendous back-up and support we receive from MC Group in Hythe also played a major role in our decision,” he continued.

Supplied in clean white and adorned with the Bayliss Executive Travel company logo on the front and sides, the new B9R coach will be used across a wide range of works including some of the company’s cruise contracts, student travel and private hire.

Fitted with 55 passenger seats with three point safety belts, the 13 metre coach features a toilet, two TV monitors, servery, CD/DVD player, refrigerator and a safe. It is specified with the rear-mounted Volvo D9B engine, attached to the fully automated Volvo I-Shift 12-speed mechanical gearbox.

“Bayliss Executive Travel took delivery of a B9R Sunsundegui coach earlier this year and they liked its styling, reliability and adaptability,” explained Regional Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann. “I spoke to Alistair not long after he purchased the first vehicle and he was already keen to take a second, so I’m glad that we were able to meet his requirements.

“It’s going to be used across a range of different contracts and Bayliss Executive Travel now have a really strong Volvo presence within their fleet, that demonstrates that we are continuing to consistently meet the demands of our customers.”
