Driving on with Sunsundegui

Volvo Bus are delighted to confirm that Sunsundegui have instigated a change in ownership structure of this successful bodybuilder.

The executives of Sunsundegui will own 51% of the company, with the balance being owned by the rest of the employees.

The new ownership structure, in combination with support from the Government of Sodena, will place the company in an excellent position to grow the business across Europe.

In 2012, Sunsundegui and Volvo Bus illustrated their commitment to the UK market place with the launch of the SC7 at the NEC show in Birmingham. The new structure enables the focus on innovation design and quality to continue. Volvo Bus can also confirm that Euro 6 pre series chassis will be delivered to Sunsundegui in preparation for the Euro 6 legislation being introduced.

Nick Page, Volvo Bus Managing Director, commenting on the new structure said, “The new ownership enables Sunsundegui to dedicate its focus in bringing to the market quality, innovative designed vehicles that are ideally suited for the UK coach market.

“Volvo Bus will continue to import these vehicles, with the back up and support of our Volvo dealers for parts and service in the aftermarket. The SC7, with its excellent build quality, is coupled with the B11R which is demonstrating excellent fuel consumption on customer demonstrations, and 11.5mpg on a recent road test with the press.”
