February’s delivery of the Co. Donegal based company’s eight new coaches will ensure that all of their large fleet is Volvo specified and with busy schedules of tour work ahead, it was important to McGinley Coach Travel to have quality vehicles that they felt would be reliable.
“We have Dennison Commercials and Irish Commercials as our dedicated Volvo dealerships,” commented owner, James McGinley. “We’ve worked with them over a long period of time and have built up a strong trust. It is important that every eventuality is covered and with Volvo it certainly is.
“The B11R is also an extremely fuel efficient vehicle,” continued James McGinley. “Fuel costs are high for operators, so vehicles that offer us the type of long-term in-service results Volvo do are very welcome additions.”
McGinley Coach Travel’s eight new vehicles include six 55-seat and two 53-seater coaches. All are specified with Volvo’s fuel efficient, D11C 11-litre diesel engine, rated at 450hp with the Volvo I-Shift gearbox.
The new coaches also feature entertainment facilities including a radio, CD & DVD player and TV monitors. They are also equipped with CCTV, climate control and top of the range half leather seating.
