Inviting stand visitors to experience Volvo’s World of Green Efficiency, the theme is designed to reflect the capability of its new Euro 6 vehicle range, providing improved environmental performance and benefits with a commercial edge.
Featured at the show is Volvo’s re-designed Euro 6 B5LH double deck hybrid bus. The vehicle has been built following three years of development in partnership with Wrightbus and in consultation with operators. The vehicle has been completely redeveloped with a light weight, maintenance friendly body, including a number of key exterior and interior improvements. It provides significant fuel savings thanks to substantial weight reductions, CO2 emission savings and noise reducing features such as silent take off.
Product information is also available on stand in relation to the much anticipated diesel variant, the Volvo B5TL double deck. Highlights of this new vehicle include a weight reduction on its Euro 5 predecessor of at least 1,000kg, which promises to deliver significant fuel savings and increased passenger capacity, reduced maintenance costs, as well as lower air quality emissions.
Volvo’s complete single deck hybrid, the 7900H in Lothian livery, is also on display in the showcase area of Coach & Bus Live.
The re-developed and streamlined Volvo Euro 6 coach range provides reduced fuel consumption and improved performance and two vehicles at the show underline these credentials.
Featured on stand and with new look lighting and grill detail at Euro 6, the Volvo 9700 continues to be unmistakable and brings all of the benefits of the Volvo complete coach offering.
Visitors to the show can also experience a test ride in the new versatile and fuel-efficient Volvo B8R Plaxton, which will be operating a test route from a bus stop outside the exhibiton hall.
All new Volvo buses and coaches will come with an enhanced soft product offering at Euro 6, providing customers with added value and peace of mind across the entire new vehicle range.
“Coach & Bus Live 2013 provides us with an ideal opportunity to demonstrate key aspects of our new Euro 6 vehicle range,” explained UK & Ireland Managing Director, Nick Page. “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the stand and highlighting our World of Green Efficiency.”
