The newly established page, which can be found at www.facebook.com/VolvoBusUK, will supplement the existing dedicated UK and Ireland Twitter page https://twitter.com/VolvoBusUK and provide more localised information than the internationally recognised Volvo Buses Facebook page.
Volvo Bus UK and Ireland Marketing Manager, Pam Matthews explained, “The purpose of launching this new dedicated UK page is that we felt that our customers and the media in this region would benefit from more localised updates that are specific to the product range that is available here.
“Previously our updates have been published on the Swedish run Volvo Buses Group Facebook page, but that covers a broader range of products and topics and we are keen to interact further with our customers on a more local level.”
She continued, “Over the forthcoming weeks we hope to connect with all of the bus and coach operators currently using the platform, establishing a direct dialogue and sharing status updates, news and photos.
“Our Twitter account has proved extremely beneficial for us over the last few years and we regularly enjoy exchanges with operators, journalists and enthusiasts. We hope that same level of interest will also be established with our new Facebook page.”
