That is the view of Volvo Coach Sales Manager UK & Ireland, James Hyde, who also explained “operators were extremely interested in the performance of the Volvo Euro 6 range and were keen to know more about Volvo’s ‘Your partner for the complete journey’ show theme.”
“We were able to highlight the benefits of our wider service offering which is specifically designed to revolve around the needs of our customer. We also believe our Euro 6 product range speaks for itself in terms of quality and performance.”
The Volvo Bus stand focused on the Volvo complete customer experience and featured key aspects of the company’s Euro 6 offering. Vehicles on show included the 9700 coach, B5TL chassis, 7900 hybrid single deck bus and a Frontline Service van.
Visitor numbers to the stand were high over the course of the three-day exhibition and the sales team were busy throughout. Feedback on the product range and the stand design were positive and the team enjoyed catching up with new and familiar faces.
Eight new Volvo 9700 coaches were ordered by GoBus Ireland during the show, further endorsing Volvo’s integral vehicle option. Other notable coach orders include a 53-seat B11R coach with Jonckheere body for Coopers Tourmaster.
Numerous other coach sales leads are also being followed up with new and existing Volvo customers, with order announcements expected in the forthcoming weeks.
“Euro Bus Expo is a fantastic trade show,” added James Hyde. “We always welcome the opportunity to meet with our customers and follow up potential sales leads. This year has been a really successful show for Volvo Bus.”
