The Welsh based tour operator has specified Volvo for many years and in doing so has built a strong relationship with the company. This was a key in influencing its decision to select Volvo coaches again.
Brent Thomas Coaches has recently sold one of its tour coaches to make way for the new 64 plate Euro 6 Volvo B11R. The first trip for the coach will be to Edinburgh, accompanying the rest of the Volvo touring fleet.
Brent Thomas from Brent Thomas Coaches commented: “We have a long standing relationship with Volvo which made it an easy decision to specify the B11R to join our touring fleet. Having sold one of our coaches, we needed a replacement within a short period of time and Volvo was quick to respond and the B11R was delivered to us shortly afterwards.”
He added: “We are particularly looking forward to seeing how this coach performs in terms of fuel economy, as we have heard positive feedback and Volvo has a proven track record.”
The coach tour operator’s new B11R is a four-wheel coach specified with the Volvo D11K, 11 Litre Euro 6 engine connected to the Volvo I-Shift gearbox. It stands at 12.8 metres long and includes 53 comfortable passenger seats.
Jo Standbridge, Volvo Bus Regional Sales Manager, added: “Brent Thomas Coaches has been a loyal Volvo customer for years, when buying new vehicles for its touring fleet. We are pleased that we could respond quickly in supplying the B11R within a short time frame.”
She added: “We look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with Brent Thomas Coaches and are pleased to be able to deliver more vehicles that have been placed on order for later in the year.”
