Crosskeys Coaches of Folkestone purchased the new vehicle for use on its holiday, day trip and private hire business to meet any medium sized customer contracts in situations when a large tourer would be surplus to requirements.
Alan Johnson, Director for Crosskeys Coaches, said: “We were looking for a coach that would fall somewhere between a mini bus and a large tourer and the B8R SC5 meets our requirements perfectly. With 38 seats and the ability to operate in city centres as well as in difficult and narrow rural terrain, this coach gives us the level of flexibility we wanted.
“We particularly like the Sunsundegui styling, which has gone down very well with our customers, as well as the many benefits offered by the B8R chassis, such as excellent fuel efficiency and low emissions. The location of the onboard toilet is also very practical, being situated at the back rather than downstairs, as this is particularly suitable for our disabled passengers.

All aftermarket service requirements will be carried out by Crosskeys Coaches’ in house maintenance team at the Folkstone facility.
