The family owned and operated business took delivery of the 13.8m, 57/59 seater coach to add to its mixed fleet which covers various work including private and corporate hire as well as UK and continental touring.
Expressway Coaches Managing Director, Peter Regan, explained: “We have heard good things about the B11R 9700 including positive feedback on the quality, appearance and operational performance so we are confident with our purchase.”
Volvo’s new Driver Support System (DSS) is fitted as standard on the B11R 9700 which includes AEBS (forward collision warning and advanced emergency braking systems), LKS (lane keeping support) and ACC (adaptive cruise control). ACC will also be offered as an option on other Volvo B11R body types when specified with the I-Shift gearbox.
Peter Regan added: “We receive good aftersales support from Crossroads in Rotherham, who we use for all our external service requirements.”

Expressway Coaches has more than 20 years’ experience in luxury coach travel. The new Volvo coach is set to work on a variety of UK and European touring including London, Lake Garda, the Netherlands, and Spain.
