Volvo is first choice again for Regency Coaches growing fleet

East Sussex coach company Regency Coaches has once again turned to Volvo for its expanding fleet and has taken delivery of two new vehicles, a B11R SC7 and a B8R SC5 coach, which are destined to handle a range of schools, private hire and corporate work across the UK and Europe.

John Durrant, Managing Director of Regency Coaches, explained: “We needed two new coaches for our diverse fleet, to meet our passenger capacity needs, and the two different sizes of the coaches we have specified suit us perfectly. We are committed to regularly updating our fleet and the B11R Sunsundegui SC7 we have chosen is 12.6m and has a 53 seat capacity, and the smaller 10 metre B8R SC5 offers 38 seats and a rear floor mounted toilet.”

“Our fleet is currently around 50 per cent Volvo and the reliability and excellent fuel consumption of our existing vehicles made the decision easy to head to Volvo again.”

Richard Mann added: “The reputation of the B11R is a firm favourite among operators for its excellent fuel consumption and operational performance. Increasingly customers are placing orders based upon recommendation and feedback from other operators."

The B8R SC5 is described by Volvo as a tourer that is perfect for both UK and continental travel. Its flexible operation makes it suitable for both inner city use as well as in the open countryside and more challenging terrain.
