Grayway Coaches adds a new Volvo B11R to its fleet

Grayway Coaches has once again turned to Volvo and taken delivery of another B11R Euro 6 coach as the latest addition to its fleet.
Grayway Coaches1 – Grayway Coaches of Wigan has taken delivery of a new Volvo B11R coach as the latest addition to its 30 plus predominantly Volvo fleet.

The Wigan based company, which offers coach holidays and day excursions for customers in the UK and across Europe, were extremely impressed with the fuel economy, appearance and interior features of their existing B11R and have subsequently selected another Jonckheere bodied, 53 seater vehicle for its 30 strong, predominantly Volvo fleet.

To ensure the highest possible standard of driver and passenger safety, Grayway has specified the fitting of Volvo’s Driver Support System on the new coach.

Mick Gray, Managing Director of Grayway Coaches, said: “We have been operating Volvo vehicles for many years now and as such, have developed a strong working relationship with our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Phil Hudson.  Phil understands our needs perfectly and has always been very easy to work with, making the specification and purchasing process straightforward and efficient.

“The aftermarket support from our local dealership, Thomas Hardie Commercials in Preston, is second to none. They have always operated an excellent and responsive service, including outstanding support from the technicians. These are the reasons why we keep going back to Volvo and will continue to do business with them in the future.”

Phil Hudson added: “Grayway Coaches is a highly valued customer who has been choosing Volvo coaches for many years and we are pleased to continue that relationship with this latest order. We are more than confident that the Volvo B11R will match the needs of Grayway’s luxury coach holiday programme and will create a fantastic first and lasting impression with their customers.”

Volvo’s Driver Support System (DSS) includes AEBS (forward collision warning and advanced emergency braking systems), LKS (lane keeping support) and ACC (adaptive cruise control).

Grayway Coaches is a family owned and operated business since 1933.  The company is now in its third generation of ownership and management.
