The company, a long time customer of Volvo Bus, boasts a 12 strong fleet, eight of which are Volvo.
Martin Lally, Director for family owned and operated Lally Coaches, said: “We were invited to the Volvo factory in Sweden for a visit and were so impressed with the quality and styling of the B11R that it was an easy decision for us when it came to increasing our fleet.
“We also value the aftersales support we receive from Irish Commercials in Galway, with whom we have a very good relationship and use for all our external service requirements. Some of the benefits of working with them is their location and coverage in the West of Ireland, and that they use genuine Volvo spare parts where necessary on our vehicles and they ensure we are back in service as quick as possible.”
The new coach has a 53 passenger seating capacity as well as all the latest high quality internal fixtures and fittings and a ZF Ecolife transmission. It is to be deployed on a wide range of touring work for Lally Coaches.
Martin Lally added: “This is an exciting investment for our business and it was great to have our Volvo Coach Sales Manager, Dave Porter, who is always excellent to deal with, guiding us through the whole process from initial specification through to final delivery.”
Dave Porter said: “Lally Coaches has been a good customer of ours for many years now, having purchased a number of vehicles from us in the past. We’re sure they will be pleased with their new vehicle and in particular the fuel economy savings it will deliver for their business.”
Lally Tours has been touring and showcasing the West of Ireland to its customers since 1988.
