Volvo is first choice again for Ridleys expanding fleet

Expanding operator Ridleys Coaches of Kenilworth has taken delivery of another new B8R SC5, as part of its fleet expansion. The new vehicle is to be used for a range of private, school hire and touring work.

Jordan Ridley, Managing Director for Ridleys Coaches, explained: “We have once again come to Volvo to meet the needs of our ever increasing fleet.

“We almost always specify Volvo and we have had such great success with the new B11R and B8R we purchased last year that we are back for another coach, with a long term plan to operate an all Volvo fleet.

“The Volvo B8R Euro 6 chassis combined with the Sunsundegui SC5 bodywork offers the best in fuel efficiency and versatile operation, it has a very well designed chassis with a surprisingly spacious interior. Being slightly shorter, this is the perfect coach for us as it is easier to navigate on narrower routes.

“Our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager Jo Standbridge was, as always, excellent to deal with throughout the whole negotiation and purchasing process, providing us with a great package and on schedule delivery of the vehicles, which we needed quite urgently so having available stock was also a bonus.”

Volvo describes the B8R SC5 as being the perfect tourer for both UK and continental travel.  Available with 38/41 seats and being just over 10 metres in length, its superior manoeuvrability makes it suitable for both inner city use as well as in the open countryside and more challenging terrain.

Ridleys Coaches is a family owned and run business and was established in 2009.  The company specialises in a range of services including UK tours, day trips, private hires, school and swimming contracts.
