The company based in Wembley, London, purchased the new coach to supplement its existing fleet. The B8R was selected with Sunsundegui bodywork, on the recommendation of Volvo Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager Jo Baker, with Bessway having had positive past experience with Volvos.
Operations Director of Bessway Travel, Simon Payne, explained: “We needed a new coach to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
“The vehicle will be used for school trips, touring and private hire contracts in and around London.
One of the key advantages of the SC5 is that it has a small and compact design, but with 41 seats, it still gives us the passenger and luggage capacity we require. It is highly flexible and equally suitable for driving around narrow lanes or tight city centre streets.
“Working with Jo was a fast, professional, and hassle-free experience. We also have an excellent relationship with, our local Volvo dealership in Hayes, they will ensure the new B8R is kept in top condition for our operations.”
