Electric string quartet help orchestrate Volvo’s Electric Avenue

At last week’s introduction of the Volvo 7900e fully electric bus in the UK & Ireland, four-piece electric string orchestra ‘String Infusion’ performed at a special ‘Electric Avenue’ event.

The new electric bus – part of the Volvo Electromobility range – is already bringing clean, quiet, safe and proven technology to cities across Europe. The 7900e will further expand an already successful range in the UK and Ireland, where the first hybrid buses were first introduced in 2009.

String Infusion – Emma, Alex, Helen and Mikaela – appropriately performed their arrangement of Eddy Grant’s ‘Electric Avenue’, as well as other numbers from their extensive repertoire, including ‘Kashmir’.
