Neal Hall, Director and General Manager of Lakeside Coaches, explained: “We needed coaches on two axles to work on our GB Tours programme because of restrictions on the three axle coaches getting on to some ferries. We also liked the flexibility of seating arrangements for when the vehicle is used for other activites.
“Our past positive experience with both Volvo and Sunsundegui made this an easy selection. The coach also features flair seats, preheater, scene lights and Bosche PA equipment, enhancing passenger comfort and overall touring experience.”
“Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Phil Hudson, was excellent to deal with throughout the whole negotiation and purchasing process, providing us with a great package and an on schedule delivery of our two new Volvo coaches.”
Phil Hudson added: “The reputation of the B11R means that it is a firm favourite among operators for its excellent fuel consumption and operational performance. Increasingly customers are placing orders based upon recommendation and feedback from other operators. We’re pleased that Lakeside Coaches has added these two, 53 seat, B11R SC7 vehicles to their fleet.
“It’s always good to be providing new vehicles to long standing customers and at Volvo we always work hard to ensure we meet the expectations of our customers in terms of high standard coach specification.”
Neal Hall added: “For our aftersales back-up and support, we will be working with Hartshornes Motor Services in Walsall who provide excellent support, and also played a significant role in our choice of manufacturer.”
