Mick Dabbs, Owner of Felixstowe Travel, said: “In previous years we have confidently placed our trust in our used Volvo Sunsundegui coaches, they have been reliable, practical and efficient. Our passengers are often holiday makers, so comfort and luxury is at the forefront of our minds when purchasing a new fleet addition.
“Our company philosophy is to provide the best passenger comfort and service we possibly can and I can confidently say that Volvo has allowed us to keep to our word.
“Additionally, we have been able to rely on our Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann. He aided us throughout the entire purchasing process, ensuring that the delivery of our first new Volvo vehicle went as smoothly as possible.
“Aftersales and service is important to us, and over the years we have developed a good relationship with our local Volvo Bus dealer, Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia, so we trust them to help keep us on the road.”
The new coach ordered by Felixstowe Travel is a Volvo B8R with 41 seats and USB sockets fitted to each seat row. The new addition joins a current fleet of 11 vehicles with the majority hailing from Volvo.
Richard Mann added: “We’re pleased to be supplying Mick and his team with their first new Volvo vehicle following on from their previous orders of used Sunsundegui bodied coaches. This operator focuses on luxury travel, so it is good that they have chosen to use Volvo once more.”
After 25 years of running his own haulage company, Mick Dabbs sold his business in 2009 and started a new family venture, Felixstowe Travel. The operator is based in the seaside town of Felixstowe in Suffolk, and specialises in holidays, day trips and school excursions.
