Mick Dabbs, Owner of Felixstowe Travel, said: “Over a number of years we placed our trust in our pre-owned Volvo Sunsundegui coaches and last year we graduated to our first new Volvo, a B8R SC5. The vehicles have all been reliable, practical and efficient.

“Our company was previously involved in road haulage and we ran 23 Volvo trucks, so it was a natural progression to buy Volvo coaches because of our positive experience over the years.

“As a tour operator, our passengers are more often than not holidaymakers, so comfort and luxury is important, which is why we specified added extras including a sunken toilet and USB sockets at each seat.

“We pride ourselves on our company philosophy which is to provide the best passenger comfort and service we possibly can, and I can confidently say that Volvo has allowed us to keep to our word.

“Additionally, we have been able to rely on our Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann. He has helped guide us through our fleet expansion from used to new vehicles and we have not been disappointed.

“Aftersales and service is also important to us, and over the years we have developed a good working relationship with our local Volvo Bus dealer, Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia, so we trust them to help keep us on the road.”

Richard Mann added: “The reputation of the B11R means that it is a firm favourite among operators for its excellent fuel consumption and operational performance.  Increasingly customers are placing orders based upon recommendation and feedback from other operators. We’re pleased that Felixstowe Travel has added this new B11R SC7 vehicle to their growing fleet.”

After 25 years of running his own haulage company, Mick Dabbs sold his business in 2009 and started a new family venture, Felixstowe Travel. The company is based in the seaside town of Felixstowe in Suffolk, and specialises in holidays, day trips and school excursions.
