The company is a long established Volvo Bus customer and has once again turned to Volvo for a fleet expansion following the purchase of a B11R 9700 in 2017. The new vehicles include all the latest features expected by today’s seasoned coach traveller and will be used on the company’s UK and continental holiday programme.
Neil Grubham, Operations Manager of Brent Thomas Coaches commented: “We’ve worked with Volvo Bus for a long time now and have a strong relationship with both the sales team as well as the aftermarket service department at Wales & West in Pontypridd, and it made sense to continue these successful associations.
“As ever it was important to us to purchase the best possible quality coaches and we have had a number of Volvo 9700s which we have been delighted with. The vehicles have been running, with impressive fuel efficiency as well as high specification and quality finish. It was an easy decision to make a repeat purchase as our tour programme expands.”
Brent Thomas Coaches has also specified a Volvo B8R SC5 on this occasion due to the demand for a smaller vehicle. One of the key advantages of the vehicle is that it has a small and compact design, but with 38 seats, it still provides the passenger and luggage capacity required for touring. It is highly flexible and equally suitable for driving around country lanes or tight city centre streets.
Jo Baker, Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, added: “Brent Thomas Coaches has been a loyal Volvo customer for many years and we’re pleased that they’ve returned to us once again for their latest order.
“We look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with them for many years to come and will work hard to remain their manufacturer and service provider of choice.”
Brent Thomas Coaches has been established for more than 25 years and continues to be a family owned and operated company.
