Diarmaid brings extensive experience of the Irish coach and bus market and joins Volvo from Carlyle Bus & Coach, where he worked for 10 years. Here he held several roles, beginning as a branch manager and then made the transition into sales, being responsible for sales across Northern Ireland and Ireland for the company.
Commenting on his appointment Diarmaid - who hails from Ratoath in Co Meath near Dublin, said: “I’m very excited to be joining Volvo Buses and to be working with such a reputable, worldwide brand. While Volvo has always enjoyed a strong representation here, I’m proud to be the first dedicated sales manager taking the helm in Ireland.
Over the years Volvo has established a very strong presence here and boasts a large customer base, particularly in the important tourist coach market. I am looking forward to working with the Volvo team to not only continue with this success, but drive the effort to grow our business here.”
