The vehicle specified by the Thurles based company comes with a passenger capacity of 53 and will be used for touring, school excursions, student travel, sports outings and private hire.
Jerry Ryan, Director of the business commended the vehicle and noted: “We pride ourselves on the ability to provide our customers with reliable and modern travel experiences, be it for a corporate event, a school outing or touring. As such, we have always worked with like-minded companies that provide us with products and services that help us achieve this, and Volvo Bus was the perfect fit for our expanding mixed fleet.
“We have been really impressed with the style and comfort provided by the coach and are confident that our customers will be able to reap the benefits it provides. The B11R is also well-known as the best option in the market today in terms of fuel efficiency and performance and this was key in the decision made to purchase this vehicle.”
The coach is 12.57 metres long with an onboard toilet. It will be put straight into operation serving school transport, tours, and charter group hire throughout Ireland.
The Euro VI engine not only saves on fuel costs but also futureproofs the business against changing legislation, already in play in major cities across the world. Jerry Ryan will also benefit from the Volvo support system and local dealership Irish Commercials in Naas.
Dave Porter, Volvo Coach Sales Manager, said: “We are incredibly excited to be working with Jerry Ryan Jnr Coaches and are thrilled to be able to provide them with their first Volvo as part of their expanding fleet network. We are confident that they will be satisfied with the operational performance, fuel efficiency and reliability the vehicle boasts, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
