Henry Cooper Coaches of Newcastle upon Tyne wanted the new Euro VI B11R to meet the ever growing requirements of low emission zones in UK towns and cities.
Graham Greaves, Managing Director for Henry Cooper Coaches and the third generation of the family to work in the business, said: “We needed a Euro VI vehicle to ensure our services are able to operate in towns and cities which have low emission zones and these are becoming increasingly common across the UK.
“We believe the B11R is the best option on the market today in terms of fuel efficiency and low emissions. Two thirds of our fleet are Volvo and we had no hesitation in going with them again for our latest vehicle acquisition.
“The JHV2 bodywork looks great and is extremely impressive for our passengers. The exterior and interior finish are second to none and I am sure it will prove popular with our customers and drivers alike.
“The important point to remember about coaches is it is not just about buying them, but also running them, and we always know with Volvo that we have the highest level of service and back up to support our business. We have an excellent relationship with our local dealership, Volvo Truck & Bus in Blyth, and this was also an important consideration in our decision to go with Volvo again.”
