Edwin Henry, CEO at JMB Coaches, said: “It is a real pleasure to have received delivery of our new Volvo B8R with Plaxton Panther bodywork. We have used Volvo vehicles for some time now, but this delivery marks the first purchase of one of their latest models.
“We decided it was time to upgrade our existing fleet and invest in a new B8R as we wanted a vehicle that would offer the fuel efficiency and cost savings we were looking for that are so important to our business. This, coupled with the quality and stylish appearance of the Plaxton Panther bodywork, provides the premium coach experience our customers want and expect from us.”
In addition to its private hire and school contract work, JMB Coaches provides transport for Northern Ireland based tour operators Grahams and Huttons, which between them offer a range of holidays and excursions around the region as well as throughout the rest of the UK.
Edwin Henry continued: “Our minds are also put at ease when carrying passengers in a Volvo coach, especially those of the younger generation as part of our school contract work with the inclusion of three-point belts on all seats. Ensuring the safety of our drivers was also important when selecting which coach to invest in and the Volvo vehicle has all the best safety features in the form of the Driver Support System, which includes Collision Warning, Emergency Braking system and the Lane Keeping Support system. All of which help to keep the driver and in turn the passengers safe on their journey.”
Phil Hudson, Volvo Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager, said: “We’re pleased to be working with JMB Coaches again. As one of the best known and respected coach operators in Northern Ireland, it is great to see new Volvos being added to their fleet and we hope to be working with them again in the not too distant future.”
Established in 2005, JMB Coaches is renowned for being one of the premium coach operators in Northern Ireland and has been recognised by winning a number of industry awards for its services.
