The operator’s fleet now comprises five Volvo Euro VI coaches, all of which have been purchased in the last three years, to ensure full compliance with the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) requirements.
Kiddles Coaches latest Volvo B8R features 72 passenger seats and is already being utilised for school private hire. Previous Volvo B8R feedback and positive endorsement from local schools were key reasons for the decision to re-order.
The B8R is popular with operators as the vehicle’s fuel-efficient Euro VI engine keeps operational costs down, while Volvo’s high quality ensures superior functionality, passenger comfort and lifecycle productivity.
Last year Kiddles Coaches purchased another Volvo B8R SB3 and a B8R Plaxton Leopard. In 2018 they also purchased two B11R Sunsundegui SC7 coaches. As loyal customers the operator is keen to maintain an all Volvo fleet.
Managing Director, David Collier said: “The schools love the Volvo B8R because they can get a large number of pupils all on one deck, which makes it easier for the staff. Added to that is the reliability, ULEZ credentials and Sunsundegui body styling.
“Our Kiddles Coaches fleet is now all built on the Volvo chassis and I like it that way. I’ve got a good working relationship with Volvo Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann and trust him to deliver quality vehicles consistently.”
Richard Mann commented: “The feedback we had from David and the wider team about his 2019 B8R SB3 and the company’s other previous Volvo coaches was really positive, so it wasn’t a big surprise that he specified another B8R for delivery in January this year. They are really strong Volvo ambassadors and we look forward to contining to work with them again in the future.”
