Sanders Coaches expands fleet with new 10.8 metre Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRa

Norfolk based, family-run firm, Sanders Coaches has taken delivery of four new Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRa 10.8 metre single deck buses to support its continued growth and wide range of operations. The 10.8 metre motor is a new addition to the Volvo fleet, which previously exclusively offered the 12 metre variant.

Sanders Coaches of North Norfolk welcome four new Volvo Bus vehicles to their fleet.

The four new Volvo buses will onboard tourists, seaside-lovers and locals as part of Sanders Coaches’ popular North Norfolk ‘coasthopper’ route, which links the county’s rural scenic seaside villages, including Wells-next-to-Sea, Blakeney, Cley and Weybourne with larger towns, such as Sheringham and Cromer.

Reliability, strength and the impressive performance of the Volvo B8RLE chassis meant it was the ideal transport solution for navigating the tight, meandering rural roads, while providing optimal comfort for customers. While the MCV bodywork provides a high-quality finish and distinctive style.

The B8RLE’s new 10.8 metre vehicle length also aids manoeuvrability, making that coastal journey all the smoother and more enjoyable. And with the new and improved sizing comes optimal capacity, as the vehicle can now accommodate 38 passenger seats and up to 46 standees.

In addition, the B8RLE has been fitted with USB sockets between each double seat and three-point seat belts for maximum safety. These important and desirable additions mean customers can sit back, relax and make the most of their journey.

Charles Sanders, Director of Sanders Coaches, said: “We’re really impressed with the Volvo B8RLE chassis and the Volvo brand as a whole. Not only does the vehicle offer good residual value, but the local dealer support is excellent. Our experience with the Volvo network has been first-class.

“The interior was especially important to us, as we really wanted to have a bright interior, so passengers are greeted with a warm welcome, and the MCV certainly provides this.

“Just 20 days into operation, the passengers, as well as the drivers, have also been very complimentary in regards to the smoothness of the journey, which is all down to the motor’s shorter length, which makes manoeuvring the vehicle much easier.”

The new Volvo additions will onboard seaside-lovers and locals as part of the popular North Norfolk ‘coasthopper’ route.

The firm is dedicated to serving its community. In addition to its private hire work, Sanders Coaches provides local bus services and school contracts to keep the region moving. With efficiency being key, the low emissions and excellent fuel economy that come with the B8RLE was a definite perk for Sanders.

Charles Sanders continues: “Currently just under half of our fleet is Volvo, although the plan is to add to this with two more Volvo buses being delivered early September. Volvo is a brilliant brand and I’m always impressed by the reliability and comfort that comes with every motor.

“We’re already looking forward to our next partnership with Volvo. We’re thrilled with our delivery and the support we’ve received from the Volvo team, particularly Richard Mann, who we have established an excellent relationship with. He is always extremely helpful, supportive and knowledgeable. We can’t credit him enough.”

Established in 1975, Sanders prides itself on being one of the most ‘friendly and efficient’ operators with a fleet of 90 vehicles.

National Account Manager for Volvo Bus UK, Richard Mann said: “We are delighted that Sanders Coaches are amongst the first in the UK to take delivery of our new 10.8 metre variant. This particular chassis complements the 12.1 metre length model which has been a popular heavyweight vehicle with customers over the last few years.

“I would like to thank the staff at Volvo East Truck and Bus Dealer in Norwich for their continuous hard work, including the excellent support and backup that comes with every sale we make - before and after. It’s been great to work with Sanders Coaches and we look forward to working with them again very soon.”
