The family run business, founded back in 1872 by Robert Shaw, is a regular Volvo customer and its latest models include two B11R MCV eVoTors, the first time they have specified eVoTors, together with two B8R coaches.
Meanwhile, the very long-established business, which is now one of the largest family owned and run coach operators in the north west of England, also ordered two new Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRas in the smaller 10.8 metre variant for its sister company which operates local bus routes in and around Lancaster, with one already in service and the other to follow shortly.
John Shaw from The Travellers Choice said: “We are very familiar with Volvo but it’s the first time we’ve ordered MCV eVoTors which are being used to transport incoming tourists around the UK and Ireland.
“Indeed, as tourism continues to recover from the pandemic, we need to be sure that the vehicles we operate are reliable, comfortable and safe.”
