Indeed, being able to quickly and efficiently complete the order requirements was a key benefit for Furey’s latest coach acquisitions – a flagship 9900 and a 9700.
It is the first time that Furey’s has purchased a top-of-the-range 9900 which is 13.1metres in length and has 53 seats. The new model will primarily be used for tour work as tourists and holidaymakers return following the pandemic.
Aidan Furey of Furey’s Coaches said: “The 9900 is already in service transporting passengers in comfort and style as they enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside and tourist attractions.
“While we are familiar with Volvo coaches, this is the first time we have specified a 9900 and its arrival is perfectly timed as we look forward with optimism to a growing tour market.”
Meanwhile, the newly delivered 9700 also measures 13.1 metres in length and has the same seating capacity.
Diarmaid Thompson, Retail Sale Manager Ireland and Northern Ireland for Volvo Bus and Coach, said: “Furey’s Coaches is a good Volvo customer and it’s great that they have returned for two new coaches.
“Volvo has made a concerted effort to ensure customers in Ireland have access to a wide range of stock vehicles so that orders can be fulfilled without delay, especially as coach operators plan for an increase in bookings.”
