The Volvo B8R Plaxton Leopard is mounted on a 12.8mtr, two axle chassis and boasts high-capacity seating for 59-passengers. The fuel-efficient euro VI B8R engine is coupled with the Volvo I-Shift 12 speed AMT gearbox.

O’Grady Coaches is a second-generation coach company based in Santry, County Dublin. Day to day operations are run by Michael O’Grady but the company was originally founded in 1967 by his late father, Padraic O’Grady. They have over 50 years’ experience in the mini-bus and coach industry and pride themselves on a dependable, high level of service from start to finish.

When Michael O’Grady was asked how the purchase of the Leopard came about, he said; “I have known Diarmaid for some time and I caught up with him on the first day of the 9700 roadshow in Dublin. We looked at possible purchase options and he mentioned this particular vehicle, we discussed the specification further and it fits the bill perfectly, so we made the purchase and it was as simple as that.” We also discussed how the ideally located the Volvo Bus dealerpoint, Irish Commercials, could provide comprehensive support for the vehicle, situated less than 2km away and a 5-minute drive from O’Grady Coaches HQ. This means that assistance is only a stone’s throw away, another key factor behind O’Grady’s latest purchase.

Diarmaid Thompson, Account Manager, based in Ireland said “We are absolutely delighted that Michael has chosen the Volvo brand to carry the O’Grady banner in what is a milestone in the company’s history. We will continue to provide operators across the country with further vehicles over the next coming years, continuing Volvo’s long-term commitment to the Irish market.”
