The new addition to the predominantly Volvo fleet at Hollinshead Coaches is a fully PSVAR compliant B8R SB3 which will be primarily used for school contracts.
Steve Haydon, director at family-run business Hollinshead Coaches, which has been in business for 30 years and operates across Staffordshire and Cheshire, said: “We know first-hand that Volvo vehicles provide reliability, safety, comfort and style from our existing fleet.
“It was an easy decision to purchase our first 71 seater Volvo coach, especially as we are busier now than we were pre-pandemic.”
Distinct in its red and cream livery, the new B8R is already receiving good driver feedback, not least thanks to its ZF gearbox.
Philip Hudson, North of England Regional Account Manager at Volvo Bus UK & Ireland, who facilitated the order, supported by Crossroad/Hartshorne Truck & Bus Newcastle-under-Lyme, said: “Hollinshead Coaches is a loyal supporter of the Volvo marque, appreciating that safety and quality underpin all models.
“It’s great to see them order their very first 71 seater which is fully PSVAR compliant. Indeed, Hollinshead Coaches has an enviable reputation in the Staffordshire and Cheshire area, reliably and safely transporting children on school runs and trips. This larger model will mean even more youngsters will benefit from travelling on a Volvo coach!”
