Supplied in the smaller 10.8 metre variant, all nine buses are now on the road and are ideal for manoeuvring on the semi-rural routes where they are providing a valuable service transporting locals between villages and towns including Lanark and Hamilton.
Striking in their green and purple livery, the new MCV eVoRas, which sport stylish alloy wheels as an additional option, have already received high praise by those who have driven them.
Martin Bell, Owner at JMB Travel along with his wife Jennifer, said: “As passenger numbers increase, we need to provide customers with a first-class service which makes the journey an enjoyable experience and keeps them returning time and time again to public transport.
“These new Volvo B8RLE’s fit the bill perfectly. Their new, smaller size make them easy-to-drive in tight conditions and the feedback from our drivers is very encouraging. Meanwhile, a smooth ride ensures passengers get to their destination feeling relaxed and ready to go.
“Furthermore, in its Euro VI format the buses have achieved low carbon certification, which is a major consideration for our business as we continuously look at more environmentally friendly ways to travel.”
The new additions to JMB Travel’s bus and coach fleet will be serviced by Volvo Truck & Bus Centre Glasgow East.
Jennifer McGill, Regional Account Manager North & Scotland at Volvo Bus UK & Ireland, explained: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Martin to facilitate this order.
“JMB Travel is a forward thinking and customer focussed business and this significant investment will ensure an excellent customer experience now and many years into the future.”
