Lochs Motor Transport praises the eVoTor as ‘the perfect all-rounder’

Back in March 2022, Lochs Motor Transport took delivery of two new Volvo B11R MCV eVoTor coaches to join their fleet. These were the first eVoTors for the Isle of Lewis based operator, so Volvo returned five months on to see how they were performing.

Lochs Motor Transport have over 50 years of experience of driving all over the North of Scotland and safety first is their motto. Roddy Macdonald, Managing Director of Lochs Motor Transport reports, “We have run these two B11R MCV eVoTors for five months now and they have fit into the fleet perfectly. We have MCV eVoRa service buses in our fleet already and decided to purchase these coaches off the back of how successful those have been. The eVoTors are just as successful, if not more. They are being used on service, for cruise work, private hire and anything else required of them. They are the perfect all-rounder and have the reliability and ability to do any job. A great product that our drivers love to work with, and our customers enjoy using too.”

The B11R MCV bodied eVoTor is a fuel-efficient coach that will keep costs down while maintaining functionality. It meets the needs for a vehicle that can handle longer distance work, while at the same time complies with the requirements of emission control zones in towns and cities. In this case, Roddy goes on to tell us “With our location, it’s so important for our vehicles to be reliable and the network of support from Volvo and MCV is there when we need it, but for these eVoTors, we have hardly needed any back-up from them. The vehicles are well balanced on the road, especially in our environment and I would recommend them to any other operator”.
