Richard, who is now responsible for the South of the region, started his career with Volvo Bus in 2010 as Regional Sales Manager for the South East of England, where he focused on selling buses and coaches to independent regional operators. Having successfully grown the region, in 2021 he progressed to a National Account Management role taking responsibility for several national account customers. With a sales driven can-do-attitude, Richard will be responsible for accruing new business while maintaining and developing existing key customer relationships.
Richard, along with the sales team, has played a leading role in securing a recent order for 48 single deck units of the Volvo BZL Electric for Metroline.
Dan now holds responsibility for the North of the region and brings over 20 years of experience in the Bus and Coach industry. Having worked at all levels with a varied customer base, a significant amount of this time has been involved with working on large fleet sales dealing with key stakeholders and decision makers at a senior level.
Following the launch of the new Volvo BZL Electric range in September 2021, Dan successfully secured the first BZL order of 55 units for Stagecoach.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Domenico Bondi, Richard and Dan will be responsible for the continued delivery of key contracts through their effective leadership and communication with clients as well as the dealer network and other internal and external stakeholders.
The Company wishes to thank Phil Owen who decided to leave Volvo Bus from 30th November 2022, for his significant contribution during his 27 years of loyal service. Volvo Bus UK and Ireland wishes him well with his future endeavors.
