The Volvo B8R Low Entry comes with Volvo’s legendary I-Shift transmission providing seamless gear-shifting and excellent drivability. Lower internal friction and optimised software contribute to the fuel savings. 

Extended service intervals

The rear axle of the Volvo B8R Low Entry is optimised for low fuel consumption. It is also extremely durable and offers service intervals of up to 400,000 km.

Depending on the market, the Volvo B8R Low Entry chassis comes in different configurations. The Euro 6 versions of the Volvo B8R Low Entry come with either two or three axles, while the Euro 5 and Euro 3 versions are available with two axles.

The Volvo B8R Low Entry is offered with Euro 6-certified Volvo D8K engines producing 280 hp, 320 hp or 350 hp, Euro 5-certified Volvo D8C engines producing 250 hp or 330 hp, or Euro 3-certified Volvo D8A engines producing 330 hp.

The Volvo B8R Low Entry is designed to be fuel-efficient without compromising on performance. Compared to previous comparable models with larger engines, the fuel savings are around 10%.

The Euro 6 versions of the Volvo B8R are compatible with both biodiesel (B100) and HVO. The Euro 5 and Euro 3 versions are compatible with HVO under certain conditions. 

The Volvo B8R Low Entry utilises connectivity to optimise maintenance and improve uptime in multiple ways. Through Volvo Connect, the operator has access to services such as Vehicle Information, Vehicle Status, Position, Service Calendar and Workshop Services. The Monitoring function in all Volvo Service Contracts remotely keeps an eye on critical components and systems to help optimise maintenance.

There's a wide range of support and service options available for the Volvo B8R Low Entry – backed up by Volvo’s comprehensive service network with experts and parts for the coaches. With service contracts, operators get the best uptime insurance available at a predictable cost. Through Volvo Connect, there is an array of services available that let operators utilise operational data to plan and optimise the use of their coaches and fine-tune operations. There are driver support services that help drivers do their work more efficiently and safely.
