First version of Connect API - Diesel released

Volvo provides extensive possibilities for integration of vehicle data with customer systems. With Data Access Services, our customers get access to the building blocks needed for obtaining reliable vehicle data, ensuring control of the fleet and its operations. We are now strengthening our offer with a new API for diesel vehicles. With this new release we offer three APIs based on the ACEA rFMS standard: Connect API – Electric, Connect API – ESS Power and Connect API – Diesel

What are the benefits of using the Connect API?

Easy integration
Volvo collects, processes, and converts connected vehicle data into a standardized format, providing better possibilities to integrate into customer systems in a multi-brand fleet scenario and achieve interoperability.

Cloud-based
There is no need for additional onboard hardware. Data is reachable via Volvo Cloud and provides access to several important operational data parameters.

Never miss a thing
Volvo provides 14 days of data history, ready for use in proprietary or third-party applications.

API updates
The subscription covers API updates.

Volvo Buses Developer Portal
Volvo Buses encourages and supports customers and third-party suppliers to develop services using Volvo vehicle data. The way to do this is described in our developer portal, where you can also access various tools and explore more of the possibilities with fleet management connectivity from Volvo. In the Developer portal, you find all guides, instructions, and technical documentation for the Connect APIs.
