Sygic Navigation – integrated GPS
With Sygic Navigation, you get a premium-class GPS navigation integrated directly in your instrument cluster. No need for an additional hardware – you simply order your Sygic Navigation system from your dealer. Activation, as well as the monthly updates are done over the air, so you’ll always have the latest maps at hand.
An integrated experience
Clear directions directly on your dashboard
Sygic Navigation GPS system is fully integrated in your Volvo. The navigation view is right there on your side display, while “next-turn” information is presented in the middle of the instrument cluster. The application offers custom routing and highly accurate offline maps. The navigation relies on inputs for measurements and weight of the vehicle to ensure safe road proposals.
Maps that know your vehicle
Avoid roads not suitable for your bus and choose the most convenient path for you. Configure the size and type of your vehicle. Set the maximum speed, length, height, weight, width, number of axles and other optional preferences. Advanced route planning even lets you avoid toll roads or prefer right turns.
How to buy
Sygic Navigation system is ordered from your regular Volvo dealer. You can also contact a sales person via the Volvo website and a representative makes sure that your order runs smoothly through the system.
Zero-click installation
Once your purchase is confirmed, the Sygic Navigation system is activated over the air. This means that you don’t need an additional visit to your dealer or do any software download to your vehicle.
Features
Through Volvo Connect, you get the Sygic Navigation system, purpose-built for bus and coach operations. The system considers the size and weight of your vehicle when planning the route and it keeps track of speed limits and emission restricted zones. And in remote areas with weak mobile coverage, the offline maps provide uninterrupted navigation.
Offline maps with heavy-duty vehicle attributes
Eliminate the risk of getting lost in mobile dead spots and avoid high data costs. Sygic Navigation works reliably also when there is no internet connection because the maps are securely stored on your device. With the latest maps, you can search for addresses and millions of points of interest. We update the map data monthly, so you will always drive with up-to-date maps.
Emission zone routing
Hundreds of cities around the world have introduced low-emission zones or other restrictions regulating heavy-duty vehicles admittance to city centers. Having information about emission zones in the map data allows Sygic Navigation to calculate routes that avoid them or notify the driver that they are entering such a zone. Set the new vehicle settings that allow the app to create a route avoiding charged or restricted emission zones.
Bus stops and petrol stations
You can easily find petrol stations, truck stops, weigh stations, rest areas, service stations, parking lots, restaurants and campsites. The app also offers multiple points of interest along the route, just pick which category you want to see in the notification center.
Speed limits and speed camera warnings
Clear visual and sound alerts along with thousands of mobile and fixed speed camera locations will prevent unpleasant surprises in your mailbox. The extensive speed camera database consists of more than 60,000 fixed speed cameras, red-light cameras and average speed checks.
